Our 9th graders were able to explore their career interests on Friday at the annual Makerfest event held at the Allen County Fairgrounds.
Makerfest is focused on 5 sectors: Healthcare, Manufacturing, Skilled Trades, Public Works/Safety, and Business/Logisitics. Over 75 businesses were present at the event that reached over 1,600 students across the greater region of Allen County. Each student was able to select their top 7 career interests and then participated in hands-on activities at each of the booths related to their career interests. What a great way to see what employment opportunities are available right here in our own area! A special thank you to all those sponsors of the event, volunteers, and businesses who helped put on this day for our students!

Our juniors had an informative day exploring colleges! Our first stop was Owens Community College where they learned about all the different associate degrees and skilled trades programs available to them at an affordable cost. They then had the chance to meet with over 50 different colleges at the college fair hosted by Findlay High School. They ended the day with a tour of the University of Findlay campus where students learned about various undergraduate and graduate degree programs offered!
