Our juniors were able to participate in the Real Money, Real World event today at OGHS. A special thank you to the Putnam County OSU Extension office for organizing the event and for all of the volunteers that helped teach our students about real life budgeting and financing. Students were prepared by Mrs. Brinkman ahead of time in their government class. Then they were given a job and a specified income and had to visit many booths to take care of real life expenses such as child care, mortgage, health insurance, car, car insurance, clothing, etc. The goal was for the student to manage their money in a way that would allow them to afford the items without going into debt!
