Miller City-New Cleveland Local School is a rural school in Putnam County, Ohio with a Grades K-12 enrollment of approximately 530 students. The district has consistently ranked in the top 5% of Ohio public schools in terms of the performance index measure attached to state standardized testing. The Miller City and New Cleveland communities value education and take pride in the programs of the school system.
The science program is a particular point of pride at Miller City-New Cleveland. The district possesses a terrific staff in this subject area and features some of the following enriching elective courses: Principles of Biomedical Science, Human Body Systems, Medical Interventions, Biomedical Innovations, Medical Detectives, Medical Terminology and STNA. Colt, Noah, and Aiden competed in the Ohio FFA District Agricultural Mechanics Skills Career Development Event (CDE). This event challenges students to demonstrate hands-on technical skills across a variety of areas. Key components of the competition include welding and cutting, electrical wiring, small engine components, hydraulic systems, precision measurement, fastener and tool identification, soldering, and technical documentation and parts lookup.
Congratulations to Kalin on an exceptional performance at the Ohio Beef Expo this past weekend. Kalin exhibited the Champion Hereford and was named Tenth Overall Breeding Heifer, a significant achievement in a highly competitive field. This accomplishment reflects his dedication, hard work, and attention to detail in the livestock industry. We are proud of his success and the way he represents our program. Well done, Kalin.

In early March, the Middle School Quiz Bowl teams traveled to Ottawa for a county-wide tournament. Answering questions ranging in a variety of topics, our students did very well. The future of Miller City-New Cleveland Quiz Bowl is strong!
